Getting started
Is Life Schedule free?
Yes. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and start using it. There is nothing to sign up for.
Does it need the internet?
No. Everything, including the built-in help, works offline.
Which phones does it work on?
Android phones running Android 7.0 or later.
How do I change the language or theme?
Menu → Language to choose English, 中文, हिन्दी, Español, العربية or اردو. Menu → Theme to choose Auto, Light or Dark.
Installing the APK
How do I install the APK?
Tap Get the APK on your Android phone. When the download finishes, open the file. If Android asks, allow your browser to “Install unknown apps”, then go back and tap Install.
Why does Android warn me about unknown apps?
Android shows this for any app that doesn’t come from Google Play. Life Schedule asks for no internet permission, so it cannot send your data anywhere. You can turn the setting off again after installing.
How can I check the file is genuine?
Only download it from lifescheduleapp.com. You can compare the file’s SHA-256 checksum with the one shown on this page.
How do I update to a new version?
Make a backup first (Menu → Back up all data), then download the latest APK from this site and install it.
Planner and reminders
How do I add a task?
Open the Planner tab and tap + Add under any hour. Write the task, pick the time on the clock and tap Save.
What happens to tasks I don’t finish?
They move to the next day automatically, at the same time, marked “Carried from” the original day.
How do I set a reminder?
Open the task and turn on Remind me. Choose the time, how often to remind again, and whether to keep reminding until it’s done.
What does “Ring like an alarm” do?
The reminder uses your alarm sound and keeps ringing until you tap Done or Snooze, like an alarm clock.
My reminders don’t arrive. What can I do?
Open Menu → Reminder check and fix anything marked red. Usually this means allowing notifications and letting the app run without battery restrictions. Some phones (for example Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo and Huawei) are strict about background apps; the check screen takes you to the right setting.
Saved
How do I save a screenshot or link?
Open the Saved tab, tap a category, then Add, and pick a screenshot, link or note.
Can I save straight from another app?
Yes. In your browser, gallery, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or almost any app, tap Share and choose Life Schedule.
How do I make my own categories?
On the Saved tab tap + New category, give it a name and an emoji. Open a category and tap Edit to rename or delete it.
Diary and privacy
Where is my data stored?
Only on your phone, in the app’s private storage. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
How is the diary protected?
The diary is encrypted with your password. You can also unlock it with your fingerprint.
I forgot my diary password.
On the lock screen tap Forgot password? and enter the 16-character recovery code you saved when you set up the diary. Without the password or the recovery code, the diary cannot be opened, not even by us.
Can I lock other tabs?
Yes. Menu → Fingerprint lock, then switch on the tabs that should ask for your fingerprint.
Backups and new phones
How do I back up my data?
Menu → Back up all data saves one file with everything. Keep it somewhere safe, such as your cloud drive or email.
How do I move to a new phone?
Install Life Schedule on the new phone, then Menu → Restore from backup and choose your backup file.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
Android deletes the app’s data. Make a backup first if you want to keep it.
